Ingredients

2lbs apples, pink lady or other

1/2 lemons

1 cinnamon stick

1/2cup apple juice

 sugar, as needed

Instructions

1.  Peel and core the apples

2.  Place in a medium pot with the apple juice, lemon and cinnamon sticks.

3.  Cover and simmer until soft enough to mash with a wooden spoon. About 30-40 minutes (time varies by variety of apple).
